Reminder Rules for the Presidents Cup:
- Match play is in effect vs. your opponent. - If you are also playing your weekly medal play tournament you must putt out every hole. - All matches must be played as soon as possible preferably within the week. - Opponents must both agree on which set of tees they use for the match otherwise they play the white tees. - Handicaps - You use the current handicap in place for you for the course you are playing on the day of the match. - Tie-breaker rules: Sudden Death Playoff For the Presidents Cup if a match is tied after 18 holes the match must be determined by a sudden death playoff. Players will go out and play one hole at a time until one of them wins a hole and thus the match. Holes to be played will be determined by availability on the course at the time as determined by the course management. HANDICAP CANNOT be used since it can’t be determined ahead of time which holes will be used. - Mark the winner and match play score on the Presidents Cup Sheet in the Shanty after the match. - If you played out all your holes. post your score in the computer as a Tournament score. - If you did not hole out any one (or more) of your holes, do not post your score in the computer. - Call your opponent promptly to set up your matches. - Good luck Gentlemen.
